Formation

The configuration of Jesus Christ and the vocational and charismatic identity are at the center of the whole formation process of the Missionary Sister of St. Charles Borromeo, Scalabriniana. This facilitates and helps to live and to gradually assume the Scalabrinian spirituality as a prolongation of the Incarnation of Christ among the migrants.
The radical following of Jesus Christ is the foundation of consecrated life. The members of the Congregation live this following through total consecration to God, through the evangelical counsels of chastity, poverty and obedience, according to the Scalabrinian charism of service to migrants.

FORMAZIONE INIZIALE
The phases of the formative process are: the aspirantate, the postulantate, the novitiate, the juniorate, which they conclude with the admission to the perpetual profession.
Each stage has objectives to be achieved, which coincide with an adequate maturation of the one who aspires to be a Scalabrinian Missionary Sister.
Formative experience is the essential condition for assimilating values and is decisive for achieving the purpose of Scalabrinian formation. The formative process is dynamic because of this it is constantly evaluated to favor the discernment of one’s own vocation and of the attitudes required to implement it in the Scalabrinian Congregation.
LIFELONG TRAINING
Lifelong trining is the personal and community commitment to consolidate the configuration to Jesus Christ and the Scalabrinian identity. The community is a privileged place for ongoing formation. In it we live the experience of communion in differences, capable of arousing a dynamic human and spiritual growth and creative fidelity to the charism.
