Liberi di studiare – A challenge for Asia is a fund-raising campaign to finance the Leadership and Religious Formation Program of the Missionary Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo-Scalabrinians (MSCS) in the Philippines on May 2018. Sisters from India, Indonesia and Philippines will be partecipating in this program which will further prepare the Sisters in their ministry to the poor, migrants, Catholic schools, religious centers, service to marginalized women and children.
The Missionary Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo-Scalabrinians (MSCS) have been active in Asia, particularly India, Indonesia and Philippines, since 1986 and serve in variuos fields such as teachers of religious education, pastoral care of migrants and immigrants, outreach to the poor, marginalized women and children. Their determined and patient work has brought noticeable improvements to the local communities.
Today the Asian Sisters are poised to take a direct role of responsability which will allow them to expand their training and assistance activities, and to bring education and tangible help where it is most needed. The participant Sisters will carry out in their own seats schooling programs among the poor and marginalized communities, drawing from the information learned in the course.
