Blessed John the Baptist Scalabrini, founder of the Congregation of the Missionaries of St. Charles Borromeo, Scalabrinians, is known to be “Father of Migrants, Apostle of Catechesis and Reconciliation, Man of Charity”.

On November 9, 1997, Pope John Paul II proclaimed him Blessed for of his zeal and dedication to migration and catechetical teaching.

Today, the Chapter Sisters of the Missionaries of St. Charles Borromeo, Scalabrinians, celebrated the Eucharistic Mass in this 22nd years of his beatification to commemorate this important date. The Mass was officiated by Rev. Fr. Giani Borin cs, Vicar General of the Missionaries of St. Charles, concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Graziano Battistella, cs, Councilor General and Secretary.
