“We want to thank you for the constant care with which we accompany our journey, the journey of families, parishes and religious communities; the journey of those who every day, sometimes with difficulty, cross Rome to go to work; of the sick, of the elderly, of all the poor, of so many people who have immigrated here from lands of war and hunger”.
This is what Pope Francis said in a prayer addressed to the Virgin, in Piazza di Spagna, in Rome, during the veneration of the Immaculate Conception.
“Thank you because as soon as we turn to you a fleeting thought or a look or a fleeting Maria, we always feel your maternal presence, tender and strong”.
