This is what President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella said on the occasion of the International Day for the Abolition of Slavery. “The situations of conflict, poverty, the escape from territories struck by natural phenomena, are fertile ground for the spread of phenomena such as sexual exploitation, child labor, forced marriages, the recruitment of children in armed conflicts”, he continued .
