The choice of the United States of America to exit the Global Compact on migration was viewed with regret by the United Nations Organization.
The president of the UN General Assembly, Miroslav Lajcak, stressed that “migration is a global phenomenon that requires a global response and multilateralism remains the best way to face global challenges”.
